The female body is incredible. It is the ultimate litmus test to the health of our families, our societies, and the balance of the world. Equally, as with men, we are supplied with balancing masculine and feminine energies that are designed to help us harmonize both our inner and outer worlds.

The masculine energy, sometimes called yang energy, is directive, linear, action-oriented. It is what drives home a deliverable and allows us to focus and create structure in our projects, ideas, and lives. It is necessary and beautiful. The feminine energy, on the other hand, is expansive and connected. It is trusting and moves like water, filling the spaces it meets with ideas, creativity, and trust. We hold both within us.

The problem is that we have operated in a society that places disproportionate value on the masculine.

We have grown up in a society that pushes us towards high-performing jobs in fast-paced lives that are deeply disconnected: from our own bodies, from the earth, and from one another.
